I build software,
automate workflows,
& ship products.

Engineer, builder, and AI practitioner working at the intersection of software development, intelligent automation, and digital product execution. I design systems that work and products that ship — not demos, not decks.

02 / About

Building at the edge of what's possible.

20+ years shipping.
Still curious.
Emanuele De Amicis

I'm a software engineer and builder with a strong focus on practical execution. I design and build digital products, developer tooling, and automation systems that solve real problems — cleanly, reliably, and without unnecessary complexity.

Over the years I've worked across the full product stack: backend services, infrastructure, APIs, and the product layer that ties it all together. I care deeply about getting things shipped, not just architected.

AI is now central to how I work. I use it not as a novelty but as a genuine force multiplier — in development, in automation pipelines, in content, and in how I think about product problems. I experiment constantly and apply what works.

Based in Italy, working with clients and collaborators globally.

03 / Capabilities

End-to-end, from idea to production.

Six overlapping
disciplines — used together.
① SWE
Software Engineering
Backend systems, APIs, developer tooling, and infrastructure. Clean, testable, maintainable code — built for the long term, not just the demo.
.NET · Node · Python
② AUT
Automation & Workflows
Process automation, data pipelines, and integration systems. I identify friction in workflows and eliminate it with reliable, low-maintenance automation.
ETL · Agents · Queues
③ AI+
AI-Assisted Development
Using LLMs and AI tooling throughout the development lifecycle — from code generation and review to documentation, testing, and architectural reasoning.
Claude · Codex · Cursor
④ PDT
Digital Products
Product design, scoping, and execution from zero to launch. I think in user problems and shipping increments — not features and roadmaps.
0→1 · Scoping · MVP
⑤ AGT
Agent-Based Systems
Building and experimenting with AI agents, multi-step pipelines, and autonomous tooling. Practical applications — not research demos.
LLM · Tools · Memory
⑥ STR
Technical Strategy
Helping teams and founders make better architectural and product decisions. I translate technical complexity into clear choices with understood trade-offs.
Advisory · Review · CTO
04 / How I work with AI

AI as infrastructure, not decoration.

Embedded deeply,
not bolted on.

The whole stack runs on it.

AI is embedded in how I build, not bolted on after the fact. These are the areas where I actively use and develop AI-driven capabilities.

01

AI-Assisted Development

Code generation, review, refactoring, documentation, and debugging — faster iteration without sacrificing quality.

02

Automation & Pipelines

Data and workflow automation systems incorporating AI for classification, extraction, summarization, and decision support.

03

Agent Tooling

Designing LLM-based agents: multi-step task execution, tool use, memory systems, orchestration patterns. Keep what works, discard what doesn't.

04

Content & Communication

AI-augmented writing, editing, and production workflows. Accelerate the slow parts without losing the parts that need judgment.

05

Product Design

Using AI as a thought partner: validating assumptions, stress-testing ideas, generating alternatives, accelerating early research.

05 / Selected projects

Things I've built.

Active

OpenShort

A self-hosted URL shortener for marketing agencies and teams who want full control over their links, branded domains, and analytics — no vendor lock-in.

AI-assisted development throughout — from architecture decisions to API design and documentation generation.
